Disinformation: The Boss Battle We Are Training Our Kids For

We’re proud to announce that our Princi-Pal, Mikko "Reksi" Perälä, has been selected as a member of the EU Council's Working Group on Tackling Disinformation and Promoting Digital Literacy Through Education and Training.

This working group will revise the European Commission’s guidelines for educators on how to strengthen digital literacy and resist online disinformation in schools across the EU.

As the founder of School of Gaming, Reksi brings deep expertise from the front lines of game-based learning, critical thinking in digital environments, and media literacy for children and youth.

đź’ˇ "Our work at SoG is rooted in the belief that gaming can be a powerful tool to build 21st-century skills, from problem-solving to digital resilience. This appointment is a recognition of our pedagogical impact beyond gaming itself," says Reksi.

Why This Matters

Disinformation, fake news, and online manipulation are growing threats. Schools, educators, and parents all need better tools to help children become digitally literate, critical thinkers. At School of Gaming, we use popular games like Minecraft and Fortnite to teach these skills in a way that truly resonates with young minds.
