Llama Valley is one of School of Gaming's oldest and most beloved Minecraft corners, where participants immerse themselves in a laid-back, communal urban atmosphere. However, the inhabitants of Llama Valley now wish to add a camping area on their village for vacation purposes and are calling on cubic diggers to build a campground on their land. The camp will involve a lot of planning, building services and places, and even organizing a Midsummer celebration.

Why online camps are so awesome - read here.

What to expect?

Llama Valley is in need of its own campground and a crew to set up midsummer festivities just in time for the holiday. This gaming camp involves tinkering, planning, building, decorating, and occasionally galloping across fields on horses. Llama Valley's online camp is guaranteed to be the summer's happiest and sunniest gaming experience.

This 3-day gaming camp is especially suited for Minecraft players who enjoy crafting, mining, and other basic elements of the game together. Although Llama Valley is played in survival mode, the days there are unusually long and the monsters astonishingly tame. In the suburbs of Llama Valley, the focus is on enjoyment, being together, fun antics, and imaginative building projects.

Llama Valley opens for the first time to campers and is usually only used during lessons. This is a rare opportunity to peek into one of the oldest and most lovingly gamer-built corners of Sogversum. Unlike other camps, you don't have to say goodbye to the camp world at the end; your child can continue living and doing activities in Llama Valley after the camp as a lesson attendee if they wish.

The camp participation fee includes guidance, but everyone must have Minecraft Java and a computer of their own. In addition to the camp, participants can join community events organized on our Discord server for a month.

The advantage of an online camp is that no one needs to travel anywhere, worry about coping alone, or deal with a half-meter-long packing list. Yet, there's still plenty of camp spirit and new friends, with whom you can continue to communicate after the camp, perhaps by playing Minecraft together.

Campers are divided into groups of 15 children, each with their own game educator who guides the camp activities all day. If there are multiple groups of campers, we divide them into appropriate groups based on skill level and age. The child attending the camp should know the basics of computer use and be able to read the game educator's messages.

What do you need to participate in the camp?

- The participant needs their own computer and a quiet corner at home. Headphones are also an excellent addition, so the rest of the family is not disturbed by the camp activities.

- Communication during the camp takes place on the School of Gaming Discord server, so a free Discord must be installed on a computer, tablet, or phone. You can read here why we use Discord and how you can ensure your child's safe use of Discord. We will also send you instructions on how to prepare for the camp and how to create a Discord account and how to get started with the programs.

- Minecraft Java must be found on the computer, and the child must have the basic skills to use it. Unfortunately, participating in the camp is not possible on a console.

- The camp day starts at nine in the morning and ends at two. We take an hour-long lunch break at eleven. Since the camp is brought home, you can arrange camp vibes in the fridge or even accommodate your child in a "tent accommodation" under the kitchen table or in other ways to enhance the camp atmosphere. However, this is not necessary, and the child will have fun at the camp without any special arrangements. We put an optional offline task for each day in the camp booklet, some of which may require small arrangements at home. Previously, we have had activities like making an adventure smoothie (you can invent the recipe yourself), tips for geocaching, and a challenge to eat snacks outdoors.

What does the child learn at the camp?

The camp progresses in the form of a storified adventure. Campers are lead into situations and tasks that require them to learn teamwork and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and curiosity. Llama Valley's new campground is open to all kinds of service innovations, from submarine rentals to llama safaris. Whatever inspires the campers.

School of Gaming is a safe gaming environment where there is no room for bullying or toxic behavior. Everyone is included in the group, and we do fun things together. We learn together sustainable and inclusive online culture, communication, and other important digital citizen online skills amidst gaming fun. You can read more about what game education is from this link.

Special about the camp:

The camp is played at a relaxed pace using Minecraft's basic game mechanics. The main focus is on doing things together and playing leisurely. If you believe your gamer desires faster action and more challenging tasks, we recommend our five-day Minecraft adventure camp for you.

Daily Rhythm:

9–10 Introduction to the day's topic

Physical Activity Break

10.15–11 Gaming

11–12 Lunch Break

12–13 Gaming

Physical Activity Break

13.15–14 Final push for the task and review of the day's events

For the evening, campers are given a fun offline task to maintain the camp atmosphere even outside of screen time.

Technical Requirements:

Minecraft requires very little from the computer. Unfortunately, Minecraft Java version used at the camp does not work on Chromebooks.
